As the courtyard of the Alte Synagoge is very small and can only accomodate a small audience, there will be two short concerts (ca 50 min), one at 7.30 p.m. and the other one at 9 p.m.
Did you know that the roots of the Yiddish language and culture lie in German-speaking lands over 1000 years ago? In this program, two extraordinary musician-scholars take you on a journey through the Western and Eastern epochs of Yiddish and traverse the almost forgotten bridges between German and Yiddish traditional song.
