Instrumental Workshop I

In this workshop, we'll explore the diversity of klezmer repertoire and style through the recordings of the legendary clarinetist Dave Tarras.

We’ll discuss phrasing, ornamentation, harmony and rhythm and look at what the possibilities are for your instrument both in and out of its traditional role.

The workshop is open for all instruments, with some preference given to wind and keyboard instruments. Taught both by ear and with sheet music. For intermediate through advanced-level instrumentalists.
